KATHMANDU: Nepal Women’s Chamber (NCC) is organizing a ‘Chamber Bazaar’ at the Chamber of Commerce building, Jamal from October 1 with the objective of marketing, promoting and expanding the business of women entrepreneurs and entrepreneurs. The market will be selling food items, clothes, handicraft items, etc. There will be stalls including salt trading in the fair.
Along with the products of women entrepreneurs, import and export products will also be promoted and marketed in the chamber market. Orientation on government processes and business operation, skill and vocational training, awareness on women’s health and free health check-up will also be conducted to attract women who are doing business and want to do business, said Urmila Shrestha, president of Nepal Women’s Chamber. She said that the market will be held on Saturday and Sunday targeting the festival and the fair will continue on Saturday even after the festival.
Secretary of Nepal Mahila Chamber, Ira Prasain, said that the chamber bazaar would be implemented as a continuous campaign for economic empowerment, skill development, market access and business capacity enhancement of women.
The fair is being run in collaboration with Nepal Youth Chamber. The main goal of Nepal Mahila Chamber is to provide an opportunity to women entrepreneurs to expand the market of their products and to inspire and enable every woman to take up business.
