Rasuwa flood-damaged Galchhi-Betrawati road section reopened

Kathmandu. The opening of the track on the Galchhi-Betrawati road section, which was damaged by the floods in Rasuwa, has been completed. With the opening of the track, the movement of the general public has also started on the road, said Infrastructure Development Minister Sunil Lamsal.

Minister Lamsal said that although the track has been opened on the road section, which is the main road connecting to Rasuwa, the work of grading and laying gravel is still pending. Minister Lamsal said that the construction work has been affected due to the movement of heavy vehicles while the road construction and repair work is going on.

Meanwhile, with the completion of the opening of the track, the work of connecting the bailey bridge on the road section has also been started. The foundation has been prepared for the construction of the bailey bridge towards Nuwakot and preparations have been started for the bailey bridge connection with the help of the Nepal Army.

Similarly, the construction of the foundation of the bailey bridge towards Rasuwa has also reached the final stage, said Minister Lamsal. The construction work has been expedited with the aim of completing the bailey bridge within the next one week.

The traffic movement in Rasuwa was affected due to the damage to the road structure due to the floods. It is expected that with the opening of the track, the traffic operation will be easier and the roadway will be more manageable after the installation of the bailey bridge.
