Floods and landslides affect five hundred and fifty households in Myagdi

Myagdi. Around 550 households in Myagdi have been affected by floods and landslides following incessant rainfall from September 22 to 24.
According to the District Administration Office, 111 houses have been completed, 93 houses have been partially damaged and 342 houses are at risk. According to Assistant Chief District Officer Kul Prasad Acharya, Annapurna Rural Municipality has the highest number of houses that have been completely damaged, 12 houses are partially damaged and 183 houses are at risk.TAG_OPEN_div_15
In Beni Municipality, 30 houses are full, 14 are partial and 45 are at risk. In Mangala Rural Municipality, 23 houses are completely damaged, 32 are partially damaged and 35 houses are at risk, said Assistant CDO Acharya.TAG_OPEN_div_13
Similarly, in Raghuganga Rural Municipality, six houses are full, 27 partial and 53 houses are at risk. In Malika Rural Municipality, three houses are completely destroyed, one is partially damaged and three houses are at risk. In Dhawalagiri Rural Municipality, four houses are completely destroyed, seven are partially damaged and 23 houses are at risk. In Dhawalagiri Rural Municipality, 20 livestock have died due to the collapse of 56 sheds. As many as 115 landslide-affected people of Giwang, Pashudra, Kindu and Ghirwang of Annapurna Rural Municipality have been rescued and kept in temporary camps at Sikh and Ghar. Relief materials have been transported by helicopter from Beni to the displaced people as road transport has been disrupted.TAG_OPEN_div_11
Five people died in Annapurna Rural Municipality and two in Malika Rural Municipality. One person each has gone missing in Beni Municipality and Annapurna Rural Municipality÷. The details of the damage caused by the landslide to roads, drinking water, river control, school buildings, public buildings, footpaths, irrigation, agriculture, livestock and other areas are being collected.
