The fare of electric public vehicles has been announced.

Kathmandu. The government has adjusted the fares of electric public vehicles operating on inter-state short, medium and long distances. The Department of Transport Management has announced the new fares on Thursday.

According to the department, the fare per kilometer of passenger and cargo electric vehicles operating in the Terai and hilly areas has been revised.TAG_OPEN_div_22

According to the new fare rate, the fare for passenger vehicles operating on paved and gravel roads of more than 250 km in the Terai region has been fixed at Rs 2.93 per person per kilometre. Similarly, the fare has been fixed at Rs 3 per person for a distance of 25 to 250 km.TAG_OPEN_div_20

Similarly, the fare of electric public vehicles has been fixed at Rs 3.TAG_OPEN_div_18 24 per person on the Kathmandu-Pokhara and Pokhara-Narayangadh road sections.

The government has made the fare adjustment with the objective of systematizing the operation of electric vehicles and determining the fare according to different distances and road conditions.TAG_OPEN_div_16
