Dhanusha. Minister for Health and Food Hygiene Nisha Mehta has claimed that the tender process for the construction of the approved critical care and trauma center at Dhalkebar in Dhanusha has started.
On Sunday, while inspecting the land proposed for the construction of the trauma center, Minister Mehta said that the tender documents have been signed by the Ministry of Health and sent to the infrastructure bodies. She said that after the completion of the process, the tender will be called and then the construction work will proceed.
“There is no need to be confused whether the trauma center will be built or not. This project has already been included in the government’s multi-year plan,” said Minister Mehta. She said that the inspection of the construction site has shown the necessary preparations and expressed confidence that the foundation stone will be laid soon.
Locals have been expressing doubts about the implementation of the project as the construction works have not started though they have been assured of the construction of the trauma centre since long.
During the inspection, member of the House of Representatives, Raj Kishor Mahato, said that the locals would be convinced only after the construction of the building started. She said that the beginning of the construction work is more important than the assurance and drew the attention of the minister to expedite the process of laying the foundation stone.
“The people here have been getting assurances in the name of trauma center for a long time. Now only assurances are not satisfied. Confidence will be instilled only after the construction of the building starts,” she said. Chief District Officer of Dhanusha, Prem Prasad Luitel, along with chiefs of security agencies were present during the inspection.
