The Karnali Province Police Office Surkhet has effectively implemented the ‘Festival-Targeted Security Plan 2083’ for the passengers returning home for Dashain and Tihar. Chief of the Karnali Province Police Office, Deputy Inspector General of Police Jayaraj Sapkota said that the scheme has been implemented from October 9 to November 12.

Deputy Inspector General of Police Sapkota said that the ‘Festival-Targeted Security Plan 2083’, which was formulated with the objective of making the lives of the general public safe and fear-free in view of the security challenges and possible risks, has been implemented in all the ten districts under the Province Police. According to him, 5,314 police personnel have been mobilized in all the districts of Karnali Province to make the security system reliable, reliable and strong.

Stating that the Nepal Police was working round the clock despite limited human resources and resources, he said although there were sporadic incidents of gambling and minor road accidents, there were no accidents causing huge loss of life and property. Deputy Inspector General of Police Sapkota said that the effective implementation of the security plan and proper management of police mobilization prevented any untoward incidents.

Rana Bahadur Rawat of Tila Rural Municipality-5, Jumla, said that the Dashain festival was celebrated safely. He said, “This year’s Dashain festival was peaceful and safe compared to the past. Although there were sporadic incidents in some places, such sad and frightening incidents were not heard. We did not have to face unimaginable and frightening accidents. Instead, this year we got an opportunity to meet our relatives who could not meet even after 10 years. This is a matter of great happiness for us. ”

Similarly, Durga Gautam Sapkota, a resident of Bhairavi Rural Municipality-3, Dailekh, said that this year’s Dashain festival was celebrated in a joyful way with the reunion of relatives. “Dressed in one’s own art, culture and costumes, there was an opportunity to share happiness and sorrow between family and relatives,” he said. During this Dashain, no bad incident was heard of anywhere in Karnali. What could be more pleasant than this? ”

The Karnali Province Police Office has deployed 5,314 police personnel in 1,462 duties, 28 mobile patrols, 98 motorcycle patrols, 60 quick response teams, 148 foot patrols and 204 long and short route patrols.

Likewise, the police have been put on duty in 67 areas including special, regular and emergency checking, 47 joint checking including traffic checking, 38 areas of important institutions, 38 religious and tourist sites, 37 passenger and citizen help desk, 31 banks and financial institutions, security and market monitoring, 10 security of VIPs, 34 miking publicity and other duties, according to the Karnali Province Police Office.
