Kathmandu. Non-Resident Nepali Association (NRNA) has handed over 10 barricades to the Nepal Police Circle at Durbar Marg. President of the association, Dr. Badri KC handed over the unit to Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Narayan Dangi amidst a function held at Durbar Marg on Friday.
The police station was also damaged during the Jenji agitation on September 23-24. On the occasion, Chairman Dr KC said that the barricades were provided to provide some support to the people of the country although the losses incurred during the agitation could not be fully compensated. Recalling that the NRNA had provided furniture at the Metropolitan Police Circle, Ranipokhari in the past as well as modern equipment at the Kathmandu Traffic Police Control Room, Ram Shah Path, the NRNA has always been collaborating with Nepal Police in social works.
On the occasion, Police Circle Chief DSP Dangi thanked the NRNA for their support in maintaining peace and order. The NRNA has handed over 10 barricades worth Rs 300,000 to the Britta. NRNA Women Coordinator Rashmi Thapa, former Youth Vice President Abdul Basid, CEO Rajendra Kumar Raut, Senior Officer Kunal Mishra and Assistant Officer Niran Maharjan were present in the program.
