Bhotekoshi floods: Congress donates Rs 11 lakh to Kavre

Kathmandu. The Nepali Congress Kavrepalanchok District Committee has collected financial assistance for the flood affected people in Rasuwa. The Nepali Congress has collected Rs 11 lakh for the relief of people and property affected by the floods in Rasuwa and Nuwakot districts.

The money collected for humanitarian service will be sent to the concerned bodies through the party’s Central Disaster Management Fund, said the party’TAG_OPEN_div_6 s district president Tirtha Lama. According to him, the amount has been collected from the party’s district-based leaders and cadres to help in the relief and rescue work of the flood-affected people.

Earlier, Roshi Rural Municipality had decided to deposit Rs 1 million in the Prime Minister-Natural Disaster Relief Fund for the relief of flood victims. According to a press release issued by the rural municipality, the rural municipality has decided to deposit Rs 970,700 equivalent to seven days’ salary equivalent to seven days’ salary of all employees÷teachers and Rs 29,200 from the rural municipality’s disaster management fund and Rs 1 million to the Prime Minister-Natural Disaster Relief Fund.TAG_OPEN_div_4
