National Life’s Employee Skill Enhancement Program Concludes

Kathmandu. National Life Insurance Company Limited (NLIC) has organized a four-day ‘Employee Skill Enhancement Workshop’ at Hotel Siddhartha in Nepalgunj with an aim to enhance the capacity, efficiency and professional skills of its employees.

The program was presided over by Prema Rajya Laxmi Singh of the company and attended by more than 300 people including CEO, management team, department heads and administrative staff.TAG_OPEN_div_36

The program was inaugurated by President Prema Rajya Laxmi Singh by lighting the lamp. Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, the Chairman said that the company will give priority to training related to digital connectivity including Artificial Intelligence (AI) to make the employees technologically competent in the changing environment and the company will invest as much as possible in the capacity building of the employees.TAG_OPEN_div_34

He said that the efficiency and capacity enhancement of the employees has also contributed positively to the business promotion of the company. On the occasion, Shivash Thakur (Itahari), Geeta Kumari Thing (Bardibas), Rukmini Kumari Sharma (Kathmandu), Anil Shrestha (Birauta), Subash Mani Pokharel (Nepalgunj), Pramila Malla (Nepalgunj) and Bishnu Jung Shahi (Jajarkot) were selected as ‘Best Employee Award-2083’ on the basis of their performance.TAG_OPEN_div_32

The Chairman congratulated the employees who received the Best Employee Award in the program and wished other employees good luck for their excellent performance in the coming days.TAG_OPEN_div_30

Suresh Prasad Khatri, Chief Executive Officer of the company, welcomed the participants in the program. During the welcome speech, he said that customer is the main source of business, he said that providing simple, fast and respectful service to the customers, following the policies and rules of the organization and accountability towards work should be developed as an institutional culture and responsible efforts to find solutions with the feeling that ‘wherever the problem is, it is the problem of the organization’, the trust of the customers towards the company will be strengthened.TAG_OPEN_div_28

On the occasion, training was also imparted to the employees on various topics. Director of the regulatory body, Shree Beema Authority, Shambha Raj Lamichhane, said that money laundering can take place in various pretexts by using insurance as it should be taken care of. Similarly, another trainer Bishwa Raj Poudel gave practical training on the use of Artificial Intelligence, while trainer Sanjog Koirala gave training on the important role that the behavior and conduct of the employees play in building the identity of the organization.TAG_OPEN_div_26

The program also included additional activities aimed at enhancing the creativity, leadership ability, collaboration and performance of the employees. As part of the extracurricular activities, the participating employees from all the seven provinces of the company presented a drama on topics related to daily performance. Similarly, a panel discussion with the department heads and an examination were conducted among the employees.

Similarly, sports competitions including inter-staff futsal, table tennis and tug of war were also organized. The winning teams and players were honored and prized in the program. Similarly, on the last day of the program, the employees were also given a tour of Karnali Chisapani for refreshment.TAG_OPEN_div_22

The four-TAG_OPEN_div_20 day program is expected to contribute to the development of employees’ technical knowledge, professional skills, leadership skills, behavior and corporate work culture.
