Kailali. Nakshatra Vatika has been constructed in Kailali. For the first time in the state, nakshatra garden has been constructed in the premises of Mohanyal Temple at Chaumala of Gauriganga Municipality-1 in the district.
Prakash Gurung, a member of the construction committee, said that the garden was constructed at a cost of Rs 2.7 million under the Tourism Development Program Implementation Unit of the Ministry of Industry, Tourism, Forest and Environment of the Far-Western Province through the Temple Users Committee.
According to the eastern philosophy, 40 species of saplings including Amla, Jamun, Sami, Peepal, Var, Bel, Neem, Khayar, Kush, Dubo, Gullar and Katahar have been planted in vagyatika based on 12 zodiac signs, nine planets and 27 nakshatras.
According to Bohora, the nakshatra garden has been constructed with the objective of preserving 27 plants, astrological significance, Ayurvedic use, environmental benefits, religious and cultural aspects, educational importance, religion in vastu, biodiversity. In the garden, multi-fold saplings related to Nakshatra and Rashi have been planted in one place.
