Kathmandu. Lawmaker Binod Chaudhary has said that the market could not move due to lack of coordination between monetary policy and budget.
Speaking at a programme organised by the Confederation of Nepalese Industries (CNI) in the capital today, he said the demand in the market has decreased due to lack of coordination between monetary policy and budget. Chaudhary, who is also the former president of CNI, said that the monetary policy should be able to make the depressed market dynamic.
Whether it is capital market or other sectors, digital banking or finance market, it is necessary to make all sectors dynamic, he said. On the occasion, he reminded that the Education Act was on the verge of being passed and the doors should be opened for educational institutions from abroad to come to Nepal. He said that the issue has been raised in parliament as well.
Lawmaker Chaudhary recalled that nepali students are being sent to Australia, Canada and Bangalore in one go. He said that the shops of some people spending Rs 150 billion by sending students out of Nepal should be closed. He argued that it would be possible if universities from abroad could be brought to Nepal.
