Nearly 200 new industries registered in Nawalpur in last fiscal year

Nawalparasi. Around 200 new industries have been registered in Nawalparasi (Bardaghat-Susta East). According to the Tourism and Industry Office, Nawalpur, 191 new industries were registered in the district in the last fiscal year 2081/82 BS.

Industries and business firms with capital up to Rs 150 million are registered at the office. Khadak Bahadur Thapa, information officer at the Tourism and Industry Office, Nawalpur, said that out of the industries registered in the district in the last fiscal year, 174 were private, seven were partnership and nine were private.

According to him, the highest number of service-based industries (79), agriculture and forest produce-based industries (67), manufacturing industries (38), tourism industry (three), information and technology-based industries (two) and construction-related industries (one) were registered in the district last year.

Similarly, 198 firms have been registered in the commerce sector and two in partnership, he said. According to Thapa, 193 new registered firms in the commerce sector have been classified on the basis of transactions, while there are 193 retail and seven wholesale traders. According to him, 856 industries were renewed in the last fiscal year while 1,342 commercial firms were renewed.

Similarly, 106 industries have amended various issues, thapa said, adding that 238 commercial firms have amended details, capital and other issues during this period. According to the office data, the number of industries closing down is more than the newly opened industries. According to the office, 391 new firms were opened in the industry and commerce sector in the last fiscal year, while 438 firms were closed.

Thapa informed that 200 industries were closed in the district in the fiscal year 2081÷82 BS. Similarly, 238 commercial establishments have been cut in the commerce sector, thapa said. According to Thapa, the number of industries being opened to take various loans and go for foreign employment is high after the purpose is fulfilled.

“There was a lot of trend of opening new industries before COVID-19 as the bank provides loans easily while showing industries and businesses to go abroad and take loans,” he said, adding, “The number of people closing down the industries has increased in recent times as they have to wait for five years to close the newly registered industries and businesses.” ’

According to Thapa, there is a rule that the person in whose name the company has been established should be present to close the industries and businesses registered in the office.

According to Thapa, 6,703 industries and 8,507 commercial firms have been registered in the district so far. According to Thapa, rs 13.48 million revenue has been collected from newly registered and renewed industries and commerce firms in the district.
