The NRNA has also urged both governments to expedite the implementation of trade infrastructures, modernization of border points, simplification of customs and regulatory processes, expansion of rail, road, air and multi-dimensional connectivity, and energy and infrastructure projects.

It also called for the promotion of bilateral investment, resolution of non-customs barriers, expansion of digital payment system and strengthening of institutional dialogue between the government and private sector.

Stating that connectivity-related infrastructure development and energy cooperation is one of the most important foundations of Nepal-India economic relations, the association has urged the government to expedite the implementation of infrastructure development, hydropower projects, transmission lines and long-term power trade arrangements.

Nikkei pledged to remain active in further strengthening and facilitating trade, investment, energy, connectivity and economic partnerships between Nepal and India.
