Himalayan Bank’s net profit rises by 1041.16 percent.

Kathmandu. KATHMANDU: Himalayan Bank Limited (HBL) has released its unaudited financial results for the fourth quarter of the current fiscal year. During this period, the bank’s profit has increased significantly.

In the fourth quarter of the fiscal year 2082/83, the profit of the bank increased by 1041.16 percent to Rs 1.48 billion. The bank had posted a net profit of Rs 12.97 crore in the same quarter last year.

During the period, the bank’s impairment charge decreased from Rs 3.75 billion to Rs 2.89 billion.

During the review period, the bank’s net interest income declined by 15.74 percent to Rs 8.81 billion.

Total operating income of the bank decreased by 11.03 percent to Rs 11.16 billion. The operating profit of the bank decreased by 23.60 percent to Rs 2.62 billion.

The bank’s distributable profit stood at Rs 9.84 billion as of mid-July last year. It had posted a negative net worth of Rs 8.85 billion in the same period of the previous year.

The bank has EPS of Rs 6.56 and net worth per share of Rs 177.48. The NPL of the bank is 7.97 percent.

Presently, the bank has a paid-up capital of Rs 22.58 billion and reserve fund of Rs 26.80 billion.

The bank collected deposit of Rs 351.57 billion and extended loan of Rs 227.77 billion.
