NADA to provide Rs 10 lakh to Bhotekoshi flood victims

KATHMANDU: NADA Automobiles Association of Nepal has decided to provide Rs 10 lakh for the rescue, relief and rehabilitation of the areas affected by the massive floods in the Bhotekoshi River.

NADA has decided to contribute Rs 10 lakh to the Prime Minister Natural Disaster Relief Fund (PMLRF) to support the immediate relief and recovery efforts.

NADA paid tribute to those who lost their lives in the natural disaster and wishes for the speedy recovery of the injured.

In this hour of national calamity, it is the common responsibility of all to support the rescue, relief and rehabilitation work shoulder to shoulder with the state. NADA has also called upon all the automobile entrepreneurs of Nepal to unite and help in the disaster-affected areas.

NADA has appreciated the promptness and tireless efforts shown by the security agencies, local administration and government machinery in the aftermath of the disaster. NADA has also expressed high appreciation for the government’s call to the people of the affected districts to shift to safer places and the appeal to the private sector to participate in relief and rescue operations.

On the occasion, NADA Chair Surendra Kumar Upreti said rescue, relief and reconstruction works could be made effective through collective efforts of the government, private sector, entrepreneurs and the general public.

Meanwhile, NADA has said that the ongoing NADA Auto Show 2026 at Bhrikutimandap in Kathmandu will continue as the economic activities may also be affected due to the disaster. NADA has clarified that the auto show will continue as it has to deal with the disaster while keeping the economic activities running.

NADA has urged all to help in dealing with the disaster from their respective sectors and also to revive the economic activities simultaneously.
