Kathmandu. On Saturday, the Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) rescued 80 people stranded in the flood-hit areas and brought them to Kathmandu by land route. On the first day of the service, 19 people were brought on Friday, 29 on the second day and 32 people were brought in the first shift today.

A vehicle was used on August 26 to rescue passengers from the land route. On Saturday, two more vehicles were added and free transport was started. Among the vehicles operated in this way, the number 006 Kha 9339 has a capacity of 19 seats. The EV with registration number 030 Cha 7364 can accommodate 10 passengers.

Due to the high demand of passengers, from today. Q. A 19-seater hayas with the number 01 006 Kha 9152 has been added. The additional vehicle has reached Nuwakot. Two of them are going to Nuwakot from Kathmandu for the second shift.

Banners have been placed on the front and rear of the vehicles to identify the vehicles operated free of cost. Similarly, the city police have been placed in both the vehicles. The metropolis plans to increase the number of vehicles based on the service requirement.

This service is for the Bidur Municipality of Nuwakot to Kathmandu Metropolitan City. This service has been started as a targeted group of people who want to come to Kathmandu from different parts of the country in connection with the work in Rasuwa, Nuwakot and other flood-affected areas after the disaster and those who need to go to that area from Kathmandu to search for their relatives in the affected areas.

These vehicles will carry passengers 2 times a day.
