Bhotekoshi floods: Govt to declare national mourning on September 22

Kathmandu. The government is preparing to declare a national mourning on September 22 to pay tribute to those who lost their lives due to the floods in the Bhotekoshi River.

So far, 987 people have lost their lives and 3,916 are missing due to the floods in the Bhotekoshi-Trishuli River on August 26.

On September 22, it will be 13 days since the floods. The government is preparing to declare a national mourning and a public holiday on the same day.
