Kathmandu. The Chaulani (Chameliya) river has been partially blocked due to landslides in Darchula.
According to the District Administration Office, Darchula, the landslide occurred in the Chameliya River at Apihimal Rural Municipality-1, Bhattar on Friday afternoon. Chief District Officer Vartaraj Poudel said that half of the river was blocked due to the landslide.
He urged the locals living in the coastal areas to remain alert as the landslide from above is likely to be completely blocked.
