Lamichhane urges party cadres to immediately stop making frivolous comments on social media

'साईबर बुलिङ गरेको पाइयो भने साधारण सदस्य समेत नहुने गरी कारबाही गर्छौ'

KATHMANDU: Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) President Rabi Lamichhane has urged the government and party leaders to immediately stop making frivolous comments and sarcasm on social media or condolence forums targeting the natural anger of the citizens who lost everything during the disaster.

He made the request in the House of Representatives meeting on Wednesday.

He directed the government to not only issue a statement saying that we will be ruthless if the citizens in distress are subjected to such abuses, but also to show it by doing its work.

Stating that the RSP does not need any blind supporters who belittle the people who are crying during the time of disaster, he said that they need members who stand in support of the bereaved and distressed people and wipe their tears.

He made it clear that no one has the right to misinterpret the cries and anger of the citizens, return lip service in the name of social media and indulge in cyberbullying.

“If any level of leaders and office-bearers of the RSP are found involved in cyberbullying against the aggrieved citizens, we will take action against such people,” he said.
