KATHMANDU: National Life Insurance Company Limited (NLIC) has organized its annual Chairperson Club Program by felicitating the best agents and distributing Chairperson Club membership.

A total of 565 people including the agents who were selected for the Chairperson Club meeting the target set for the fiscal year 2082/83 was attended by the company’s departmental heads, provincial heads, section chiefs and marketing staff.

The programme began with a minute’s silence wishing speedy recovery to those injured and sick due to the massive floods in Bhotekoshi and the resultant natural disaster.

On the occasion, the Chairperson of the company, Prema Rajya Laxmi Singh, formally inaugurated the Chairperson’s Club program by lighting the lamp on Panas. During the inaugural speech, she said that the company will continuously support and collaborate for skill and capacity development and professionalization with the aim of making the agents who are the backbone of the company more professional and skilled.

Stating that leadership development was important in agent network, she pledged to invest as much as possible for this.

Similarly, the company’s Chief Executive Officer Suresh Prasad Khatri said that the historic business achievement of the company in the financial year 2082/83 is the collective success of National Life Pariwar. Stating that the company is moving forward with more clear goals, measurable strategy and high business commitment with the beginning of the new financial year, he said that the company has prioritized strengthening the agent network and improving the quality of customer service.

In the program, the Chairperson Club membership was distributed and the first, second and third ranking agents were felicitated all over Nepal under the network and its code. Similarly, the Chairperson Prema Rajya Laxmi Singh felicitated the agents who have achieved the first position in group business, Centurion Club, National Star, National Superstar and the agents who have been selected in the Chairperson Club for 10 consecutive years.

Training was also imparted on various topics with the objective of enhancing the knowledge, skills and capacity of the participating agents.

Giving training on money laundering, Deputy Director of the Insurance Authority Padam Prasad Sadari said that all the stakeholders involved in the insurance business should be alert and alert to closely monitor, identify suspicious activities and follow the prevailing legal provisions.

Similarly, trainer Bishwa Raj Poudel presented various practical examples of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and gave training on the possibility of using AI technology in the insurance business. He said that AI can be effectively used in the field of customer contact, content creation, business planning, and information management.

Another trainer, Sanjog Koirala, said that the effective use of digital media in the digital age can significantly benefit the expansion of the insurance business. He stressed that only factual information and approved materials should be made public while using digital platforms by fully complying with the prevailing laws and regulatory provisions. He said that special care should be taken in this regard as misleading news, misinformation or misinterpretation can lead to legal complications.

The agents who were selected in the Chairperson’s Club said that it was a matter of pride to be a part of the program as it required continuous hard work, discipline and excellent professional performance throughout the year. They said that the honor received as a result of their hard work throughout the year has made them feel that their hard work has been worth it.
