Budhi Gandaki floods: 341 MW project washed away camps, equipment

Kathmandu. The flood in the Budhi Gandaki River has swept away the construction camp and equipment of the 341 MW Budhi Gandaki Hydropower Project.

The floods have swept away the camp of Budhigandaki Hydropower Project and some equipment constructed by Times Energy Pvt Ltd at Salleri, Chumnubri Rural Municipality-3.

The camps and equipment of the project, which is being constructed at a cost of Rs 70 billion, have been washed away. The exact details of the damage caused by the floods have not been given.

Arughat Rural Municipality in Gorkha district has been at high risk after a massive flood in the river has swept away the iron motorable bridge at Soti that connects Arughat rural municipality-2 and 3.
