Lalbabu Sah Kanu of Parsa receives Rs 10 lakh as taxpayer incentive gift

KATHMANDU: Gifts have been announced from September 1 to 15 under the Taxpayer Incentive Gift Program. Chairperson of the International Relations and Tourism Committee of the House of Representatives, Sumnima Udas and members of the House of Representatives, Ganesh Karki and Santosh Rajbanshi, jointly announced the gift winners at a function held at the Ministry of Finance on Friday.

According to the announcement, Lalbabu Sah Kanu of Parsa has won a 15-day bumper gift worth Rs 10 lakh. The business he bought lube oil worth Rs 21,000 has been selected for the bumper gift.

The Director General of the Inland Revenue Department, Dr. Bhishma Kumar Bhusal immediately congratulated Kanu over the phone and urged him to contact the nearest tax office to receive the award.

According to the Inland Revenue Department, a total of 3,18,18,286 transactions of consumers who had taken invoices through online and cash transactions from September 1 to 15 were eligible to participate in the gifting program.

Out of this, 2,47,979 transactions were made by consumers who took bills through cash transactions. Similarly, 3,15,70,307 transactions of consumers who purchased goods and services through online and card payments were eligible for gifts.

As part of the program, a coupon of Rs 100,000 will be provided daily from September 1 to 15.
