One and a half dozen international flights canceled on Tuesday

Kathmandu. Nepal’s international flights have been affected due to the escalating war and airspace restrictions in the Middle Eastern countries.

According to the Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA), 16 international flights have been cancelled on Tuesday. Jazeera Airways, Kuwait Airways, Air Arabia, Fly Dubai, Nepal Airlines, Qatar Airways and Himalaya Airlines have suspended their flights.

The cancelled flights were to Kuwait, Sharjah, Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Doha. Airspace in the Middle Eastern countries remained closed while other international routes operated normally, the airport said.

Today, the air routes of 9 countries are also closed.  Air routes to Qatar, the UAE, Kuwait, Iran, Iraq, Israel, Jordan, Lebanon and Bahrain were also suspended.
