State Department directs non-U.S. citizens to leave Bahrain, Jordan and Iraq

Kathmandu. The US has issued a warning for US citizens working in non-emergency services, except for security personnel in Bahrain, Jordan and Iraq, to leave as soon as possible.

The U.S. State Department on Tuesday ordered non-emergency personnel to leave Bahrain and Jordan. This information has been issued keeping in mind the safety of citizens while Iran is retaliating against the US-Israeli attack.

“Reflecting the concerns of US government employees and family members in non-emergency services, the State Department is advising US citizens not to travel to Bahrain, Jordan, and Iraq,” the State Department said in a X post.

In a separate post, the ministry said the U.S. had updated its Iraq travel directive on Monday to “order non-emergency U.S. government employees to leave Iraq due to security concerns.” Their relatives were not mentioned. ”
