Kathmandu. FlyDubai, a low-cost airline of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), has started regular commercial flights from Pokhara Regional International Airport.

Today, a flight from Dubai carrying 113 passengers landed at Pokhara Regional International Airport. After landing the aircraft, a special welcome was given to the airport through a water cannon salute.

Locals, tourism entrepreneurs and representatives of various stakeholders welcomed the passengers at the airport. Relatives of the passengers also reached the airport to welcome them.TAG_OPEN_p_5

The flight is scheduled to depart for Dubai with 153 passengers on board.TAG_OPEN_p_4

The commencement of regular flights of international airlines from Pokhara Regional International Airport is considered important from the point of view of tourism promotion and expansion of international air connectivity. This flight is expected to provide direct air service to Nepali workers, businessmen, and tourists especially in the Middle East.
