Remittances increase by 29.9 percent compared to last year

Kathmandu. Remittances worth Rs 2.75 billion have been received in the first month of the current fiscal year. According to the Nepal Rastra Bank, more than Rs 2.75 billion remittance has entered the country in the first month of the current fiscal year.

In the first half of the current fiscal year, Rs 177.41 billion has been deposited. This amount is 29.9 percent more than the previous fiscal year.

In the last fiscal year, Rs 136.60 billion was remitted. In the last fiscal year, the remittance growth rate was 17.7 percent. More than 68,000 youths have gone for foreign employment after obtaining final and re-labour permit in July. This number was 57,500 in July last year.
